Immigration help for Richmond, Henrico and Chesterfield families
Central Virginia's Spanish-speaking community keeps growing, and so do the questions that come with it: how to petition for a spouse, whether an old deportation order still matters, what to do when a work permit renewal is late, or whether a case that has been pending for years was filed correctly in the first place.
USG Law Group is a bilingual immigration firm led by attorney Marianela Uribe, who is licensed in Virginia and Maryland and came to the United States as an immigrant herself. Attorney Sandra Leiva handles immigration court (EOIR) representation. We do not have a Richmond office, and we say so plainly. Our office is in Woodbridge, and Richmond clients work with us mostly by Zoom and phone.
Because immigration law is federal, your forms go to USCIS or the immigration court, not to a Richmond office. Where your lawyer sits matters less than whether your lawyer answers the phone.
How we work with clients in Richmond
Call us or use the short quiz on this site. Gigi Mejia, our USCIS Practice Manager, will ask a few questions and schedule a free consultation with an attorney by phone or Zoom. If you would rather meet in person, we will book a time at the Woodbridge office.
After the consultation, you send documents by email. We prepare the filing, review it with you on a video call, and tell you honestly what is strong and what is weak about the case. We prepare you for any USCIS interview and respond to Requests for Evidence.
Richmond itself has no immigration court. Removal cases for Virginia residents are handled through Virginia's immigration courts (EOIR), and your hearing notice shows which one. We represent clients in those courts and coordinate the travel and preparation with you in advance.

Our office is in Woodbridge, about 90 minutes north on I-95
USG Law Group's office is at 3102 Golansky Blvd, Suite 201, Woodbridge, VA 22192, in the Potomac Mills area, about 90 minutes north of Richmond on I-95 depending on traffic. We are not going to pretend that is around the corner.
In practice, most Richmond clients never need to make the trip, or make it once. Consultations, document review and signatures where allowed happen remotely. If you prefer to look us in the eye before hiring us, we understand, and we will schedule an in-person meeting, including on Saturdays.
Why Richmond families choose USG Law Group
Clients tell us that we explain everything in detail and that we prepared their case faster than other offices had estimated. For someone in Richmond working with a firm up the interstate, clear communication is what makes the distance irrelevant.
We offer a free first consultation, payment plans and financing, evening and weekend appointments, and a team that speaks Spanish from the first message to the last filing. We are members of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
