USG LAW GROUP LLC

Immigration Attorney Serving Baltimore, Maryland

Both attorneys at USG Law Group are licensed in Maryland, and immigration law is federal, so the Maryland side of the Potomac is as much our territory as Virginia. If you are looking for an immigration lawyer in Baltimore who will take your call in Spanish, represent you at the Baltimore Immigration Court, or prepare you for an interview at the USCIS Baltimore Field Office, we can help. We serve Baltimore City and Baltimore County by video and phone, with in-person meetings at our Woodbridge, Virginia office about an hour away. The first consultation is free.

Maryland-licensed immigration help for Baltimore families

If you have a family member detained, a hearing notice from the Baltimore Immigration Court, or a USCIS interview coming up in Baltimore, you want a lawyer who is licensed in Maryland and who can explain the process in the language you think in.

Attorney Marianela Uribe, our founder, has been a member of the Maryland Bar since 2019 and is also licensed in Virginia. Attorney Sandra Leiva, licensed in Maryland, focuses on immigration court (EOIR) work, including removal defense, detained clients and bond hearings. Gigi Mejia coordinates intake and the USCIS petition side.

We do not have a Baltimore office. Our office is in Woodbridge, Virginia, and Baltimore clients work with us mainly by Zoom and phone, with in-person meetings in Woodbridge or at the courthouse when needed.

How we work with clients who have cases in Baltimore

The first step is a free consultation by phone or Zoom. If someone in your family is detained, say so when you call and we will move quickly. Bring any Notice to Appear, hearing notices, or USCIS letters so we can see exactly where the case stands.

For court cases, the Baltimore Immigration Court hears removal cases for Maryland residents. Attorney Sandra Leiva represents clients there, from the first master calendar hearing through the individual hearing where the judge decides. We can also request a bond hearing for a detained family member. Between hearings, you send evidence by email and we prepare your testimony with you by video.

For USCIS matters, interviews for Baltimore-area applicants are generally held at the USCIS Baltimore Field Office. We prepare the filing, review it with you, respond to any Request for Evidence, and prepare you before the interview. In-person visits to Woodbridge are usually only for signatures or final preparation.

Services most requested by our Baltimore clients

Court work leads the list for Baltimore, but families also come to us for the full range of USCIS petitions. Each service has its own page on this site.

  • Cancellation of removal (EOIR-42B): for long-time residents with qualifying family.

Our office is in Woodbridge, Virginia, about an hour away

USG Law Group's office is at 3102 Golansky Blvd, Suite 201, Woodbridge, VA 22192, near Potomac Mills, about an hour from Baltimore via I-95 and I-495 depending on traffic. We do not maintain a Baltimore address, and we would rather say that than mislead you.

Most Baltimore clients handle everything remotely and see us in person at the courthouse on hearing days. When a Woodbridge visit is needed, we group everything into one trip and offer Saturday and evening times.

Why Baltimore families choose USG Law Group

Clients tell us we explain everything in detail, and that in a court case where months pass between hearings, knowing what is happening is what keeps a family calm. We answer messages between hearings and we tell you the truth about your case, including the hard parts.

We offer payment plans and financing, which matter in court cases that can take years, a free first consultation, and a team that speaks Spanish throughout. We are members of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and the Maryland State Bar.

  • Two Maryland-licensed attorneys, one of them focused on immigration court (EOIR).
  • Spanish at every step, from intake to the courtroom.
  • Free first consultation by phone or Zoom.
  • Payment plans available.
